Your migraine records never leave your iPhone. There is no server for us to read them from.

There are two very different kinds of data here, and we treat them very differently.
Your migraine records never leave your iPhone. No Relief server holds them, there is no account to create, and we have no way to read what you log. They are never sold, never shared, and never used for advertising.
Anonymous app usage data — which screens you open, whether the app crashed — is collected for analytics and may in future be used to measure advertising. This never includes anything about your migraines. Section 6 explains exactly what this covers and how to turn it off.
This policy covers the Relief iOS app and the website migraine.live. It does not cover any other app.
Relief is developed by Relief AI, founded by Knyaz Harutyunyan. For privacy questions, or to exercise the rights in section 8, email knyazharutyunyan03@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Attacks, symptoms, intensity ratings, medications, triggers, notes, and MIDAS answers are stored only in local storage on your iPhone. Relief does not upload them. We operate no server holding your health records, so we have no technical ability to read, recover, or disclose them.
Because your data exists only on your device, deleting the app deletes your migraine history permanently. There is no copy for us to restore, so export anything you want to keep before deleting.
Relief can write the headache entries you log into Apple Health, if you grant permission. This is optional and switched off until you enable it.
Data written to Apple Health is governed by Apple's HealthKit rules: it stays on your device, and Apple prohibits its use for advertising or sale. We do not transmit HealthKit data off your device or use it for marketing. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Relief.
Relief looks for patterns between your logged attacks and factors such as sleep, habits, and barometric pressure. This analysis currently runs entirely on your device. Your attack history is not sent to us or to any third party in order to produce these insights.
Correlations are statistical observations from your own records. They are not medical conclusions, and an apparent pattern may be coincidence.
If we introduce a feature that processes your data outside your device, we will update this policy and tell you inside the app before that feature becomes available to you.
To show local pressure forecasts, Relief requests your approximate location and uses it to fetch weather data for your area. Your location is not stored on any server we control and is not linked to your identity.
You can decline this permission. Everything else continues to work; you simply will not receive pressure forecasts.
Weather and pressure data is supplied by a third-party weather data provider, which receives only the approximate coordinates needed to return a local forecast. It receives no other information about you and nothing from your migraine records.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which screens are used and where the app crashes. It collects app version, device model, operating system, screen views, feature usage, crash logs, and a randomly generated app instance identifier.
Firebase never receives the contents of your migraine logs — no attack records, symptoms, medications, notes, or MIDAS answers. Google acts as our data processor and may process this data on servers in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. See Firebase's privacy documentation.
Relief also includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK. We use it, together with Apple Search Ads, to measure which advertising campaigns lead to app installs, so we know where to spend a small marketing budget. This measurement uses app usage events such as installs and sessions.
This advertising measurement never uses your health data. Your migraine records are not readable by us and are not transmitted, so they cannot be used for advertising by us or by anyone else.
Because this counts as tracking under Apple's rules, iOS asks your permission the first time you open Relief. If you decline, no tracking identifier is shared and no data is used for advertising measurement. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In the EU and UK we ask for consent before any advertising measurement takes place, and declining does not affect any app feature.
We do not display ads inside Relief, and we do not sell your data to data brokers.
Payments are processed by Apple. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which acts as our data processor and receives an anonymous app user identifier plus your purchase and subscription state.
We never receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple handles all payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Delete all app data at any time by deleting Relief from your device. Because your health data is stored only on your device, this is immediate, permanent, and entirely under your control — no request to us is needed.
To stop advertising measurement, decline the tracking prompt or turn it off in iOS Settings as described in section 6.
If you are in the EU, UK, or a region with equivalent law, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or erase personal data we hold, and to object to processing. In practice the only data associated with you is the anonymous analytics, advertising measurement, and subscription identifiers described above. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any right, email the address in section 1.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion, and to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising — which you can do via the tracking prompt or iOS Settings. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Relief is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date above and notify you inside the app before the change takes effect.
